NP205 (Ford) Yoke swap to 1350

Need to swap the rear output yoke to a 1350 yoke.

What all do I need, any gotchas?

My parts list so far:

• 1350 Yoke - Yoke Flange, NP205 1350 CV-Broncograveyard.com
• Nut and seal (not sure what that gear-looking thing is/how it works) - NP203/205 Yoke Nut & Seal-Broncograveyard.com
• Output seal - NP203 & NP205 1350 Series Yoke Seal-Broncograveyard.com

Seems like it should be pretty straightforward: take off the yoke nut, take out the rear output seal, put in the new parts, done.

It’s a spline seal. Says right in the description

That yolk appears to be for a CV style shaft. Do you already have the driveshaft?

I went drive flanges for a CV style shaft.

i don’t have the shaft yet, was going to order one from woods.

Hadn’t considered going flange on the transfercase but if it’s better, now’s the time I suppose. Eliminates the possibility to over tighten the u-bolts right?

I'm running 1350 DCs' from Adams shafts and both are GM style flange mounts at the 205.

Your shaft maker of choice has all the flanges or yokes you'd need.

Yeah parts are on the way. Went with a flange on the transfercase side too.
