Had some good times with the ol’ Mail Jeep, but It was needing quite a bit of maintenance, and It was time for a change. So I ordered a repop flatfender body and immediately chopped it in half….

Parts that remain are the postal frame-4 link front and rear, stroker 6.0 chevy, Th400, 4.3 atlas and other misc stuff.

Stretched the tub 10” in the door, made some rear wheel opening changes, built some exhaust and started seeing how I’m running out of room under the hood really quick…. Even had to notch the throttle body to clear the hood….

Floors are not my specialty…. But it doesn’t have a giant hole in it anymore… so that’s cool. Also figured Id need some shocks

As it turns out… there was not enough room under the hood…. So I stretched the hood and fenders 2”…. Now there’s barely enough room.

Nice work! It's sad to see the mail jeep go away after watching that build at the other place but the flat fender body is definitely a great choice. :smokin:

Flatfenderin’ continues. Every time I go to install something, there’s almost enough room. But it’s all fitting… barely… so far

Built a cage, once again, building inside the willys box made things mildly challenging, but with the body stretch I could get the seats a lot lower than the originals, which makes it look less pope-mobile. I feel fairly certain the rear shock mounts are not falling off
